Majmu' al-FatawaIbn Taimiya

Indeed, I have been among the wrongdoers.”

When the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, mounted his riding animal, “he would praise Allah, then proclaim Allah’s greatness three times and say: ‘There is no god but You; glory be to You. I have wronged myself, so forgive me.’”

The supplication of expiation with which he would conclude a gathering was:

“Glory and praise be to You, O Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance.”

Allah knows best. May Allah bless Muhammad and grant him peace.
