Majmu' al-FatawaIbn Taimiya

Allah Most High has said:

“Whoever does righteous deeds while being a believer need fear neither injustice nor deprivation.”

They explained: Injustice means being made to bear another’s sins, while deprivation means having one’s own good deeds diminished.

Allah Most High has also said:

“We did not wrong them, but they were wronging themselves.”

In an authentic hadith, Abū Dharr, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

“Allah Most High says: ‘O My servants, I have forbidden injustice for Myself and made it forbidden among you, so do not wrong one another.

O My servants, all of you are astray except those whom I guide, so seek My guidance and I will guide you.

O My servants, all of you are hungry except those whom I feed, so ask Me for food and I will feed you.

O My servants, all of you are naked except those whom I clothe, so ask Me for clothing and I will clothe you.

O My servants, you sin by night and by day, and I forgive sins and do not mind doing so. Ask My forgiveness and I will forgive you.

O My servants, you can never harm Me, nor can you ever benefit Me.

O My servants, if all of you, from the first to the last, humans and jinn alike, had hearts like that of the most pious man among you, that would add nothing to My dominion.

O My servants, if all of you, from the first to the last, humans and jinn alike, had hearts like that of the most wicked man among you, that would diminish My dominion in no way.

O My servants, if all of you, from the first to the last, humans and jinn alike, gathered on a single plain and asked of Me, and I gave each one what he asked for, that would diminish My dominion no more than a needle diminishes the sea when dipped into it.

O My servants, it is only your deeds that I record for you, then recompense you for in full. Whoever finds good should praise Allah, and whoever finds otherwise should blame no one but himself.’”

Another example is what al-Bukhārī narrated in his Sahīh from Shaddād ibn Aws, who said:
