There are many such texts, and they show that the injustice which Allah has declared Himself free of is neither what the Qadariyyah describe nor what the Jabriyyah and those who agree with them describe. This matter has been examined in detail elsewhere, where Allah’s wisdom and justice have been explained. It is among the most momentous issues concerning which many earlier and later generations have fallen into confusion. An extensive discussion detailing people’s views, establishing the truth of the matter through evidence, and answering objections would not be appropriate in this response to the poem. O My servants, if the first and last of you, humans and jinn alike, were all as wicked in heart as the most wicked man among you, that would diminish My dominion in no way.
O My servants, if the first and last of you, humans and jinn alike, stood together on a single plain and asked of Me, and I granted each person what he asked for, that would diminish what I possess no more than a needle does when
