Allah Most High also says:
“Allah has promised those among you who believe and do righteous deeds that He will surely make them successors in the land, as He made those before them successors, and will surely establish for them their religion which He has approved for them.”
He says:
“And I have approved Islam as your religion.”
And He says:
“If you are grateful, He approves it for you.”
He thus makes clear that He approves the religion He has commanded. If He approved everything, that religion would have no special distinction. The two Sahīh collections report that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:
“No one has greater jealousy than Allah over His male or female servant committing unlawful sexual intercourse.”
He also said:
“Allah is jealous, and the believer is jealous. Allah’s jealousy is over a servant doing what He has forbidden him.”
Jealousy necessarily entails disliking and hating that which occasions it. This is a vast subject.

As for the “fourth question,” it is his statement: “If the Pen has dried after recording all that is to occur, what is the meaning of His saying, ‘Call upon Me; I will answer you’? If supplication is also among the things destined to occur, what is the benefit of commanding it when it must inevitably occur?”
The answer is this: supplication brings about an answer just as other righteous deeds bring about reward, and just as other causes bring about their effects. Whoever says that supplication is merely a sign and indication that what is sought and requested will be obtained, rather than a cause of it; or that it is purely an act of worship with no effect on whether the desired outcome occurs or not—rather, whatever is attained through supplication is attained
