“Indeed, Allah will gather the hypocrites and the disbelievers all together in Hell.”
“Those who wait to see what befalls you: if Allah grants you victory, they say, ‘Were we not with you?’ But if the disbelievers gain a share of success, they say, ‘Did we not have the upper hand over you and protect you from the believers?’ Allah will judge.”
The passage continues to His words:
“Indeed, the hypocrites seek to deceive Allah, but it is He who deceives them. When they stand for prayer, they stand lazily, showing off before people and remembering Allah only a little.”
“Wavering between the two, belonging neither to these nor to those. Whoever Allah leads astray, you will never find a way for him.”
The passage continues to His words:
“Indeed, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of the Fire, and you will never find any helper for them.”
“Except those who repent, mend their ways, hold fast to Allah, and devote their religion sincerely to Allah. Those will be with the believers, and Allah will grant the believers a tremendous reward.”
Allah, exalted is He, says in Sūrat al-Mā’idah:
“O Messenger, do not be grieved by those who rush into disbelief—those who say with their mouths, ‘We believe,’ while their hearts do not believe, and those among the Jews who eagerly listen to lies and listen to others who have not come to you.”
He also says:
“O you who believe, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are allies of one another. Whoever among you takes them as allies is indeed one of them.”
The passage continues to His words:
“You see those in whose hearts is a disease rushing to their side, saying, ‘We fear that a turn of fortune may strike us.’ But Allah may well bring victory or a decree from Him, and then they will regret what they have concealed within themselves.”
“The believers will say, ‘Are these the ones who swore their most solemn oaths by Allah that they were with you?’ Their deeds have come to nothing, and they have become losers.”
