Ibn Battah also narrated, with a sound chain of transmission to al-Aswad ibn ‘Āmir, who said: It was related to me from Sharīk, from Abū al-Yaqzān, from Anas, concerning the words, “And with Us is more,” that he said: “He manifests Himself to them every Friday.”

Al-Dāraqutnī also narrated it through Muhammad ibn Hātim al-Missīsī: Muhammad ibn Sa‘īd al-Qurashī narrated to us; Hamzah ibn Wāsil al-Minqarī narrated to us; Qatādah ibn Di‘āmah narrated to us—I heard him say: Anas ibn Mālik narrated to us, saying: “While we were gathered around the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, he said, ‘Gabriel came to me holding the white mirror.’” He then related the preceding hadith at greater length. It contains wording that reconciles the hadith of Anas in Sahīh Muslim with the other hadiths, including: “It remains so until the time corresponding to their dispersal after the Friday prayer.”

It was also transmitted through another chain, narrated by Abū ‘Umar Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Wāhid al-Zāhid, known as Ghulām Tha‘lab: Muhammad ibn Ja‘far ibn Abī al-Dumayk al-Marwazī narrated to us; Salamah ibn Shabīb narrated to us; Yahyā ibn ‘Abd Allāh al-Harrānī narrated to us; Dirār ibn ‘Amr narrated to us, from Yazīd al-Raqāshī, from Anas ibn Mālik. He related the hadith at greater length than the preceding versions. I did not have its wording at hand, but I think it contains the aforementioned addition. This chain of transmission is weak because of Yazīd al-Raqāshī and Dirār ibn ‘Amr, but it is considered alongside the preceding reports.
