and Abū al-Baqā’ ‘Abd al-Majīd, the household, those you know among the people of Medina, and all the other inhabitants of that blessed city.
If you know of a book recounting the history of Medina, just as accounts of Mecca have been compiled, perhaps you could let us know of it.

وَأَبِي البقاء عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ وَأَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ وَمَنْ تَعْرِفُونَهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَسَائِرِ أَهْلِ الْبَلْدَةِ الطَّيِّبَةِ. وَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْرِفُونَ لِلْمَدِينَةِ كِتَابًا يَتَضَمَّنُ أَخْبَارَهَا؛ كَمَا صُنِّفَ أَخْبَارُ مَكَّةَ. فَلَعَلَّ تُعَرِّفُونَا بِهِ. وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ وَصَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ أَجْمَعِينَ.
