This shows that He, Most High, is more entitled to every perfection than anyone else. This is like His saying:
“When one of them is given news of a daughter, his face darkens as he suppresses his grief.”
“He hides himself from his people because of the bad news he has received. Should he keep her in humiliation or bury her in the dust? Evil indeed is their judgment!”
“Those who do not believe in the Hereafter have evil attributes, whereas Allah has the highest attributes. And He is the Almighty, the All-Wise.”
“If Allah were to take people to task for their wrongdoing, He would not leave a single living creature on earth. But He grants them respite until an appointed time. When their time comes, they can neither delay it for a moment nor bring it forward.”
“They assign to Allah what they themselves dislike, and their tongues falsely claim that the best reward will be theirs. Without doubt, theirs will be the Fire, and they will be abandoned there.”
For they used to say, “The angels are Allah’s daughters,” yet they disliked any one of them having a daughter, regarding this as a deficiency and a disgrace. The Lord, Most High, has a greater right than you to be declared free of every fault and deficiency, for His are “the highest attributes.” Thus, every perfection established for a created being belongs more rightly to the Creator, provided that it is free of deficiency. And every deficiency or fault from which a created being is held to be free is something from which the Creator has an even greater right to be declared free.
And He, Most High, says:
“Are those who know equal to those who do not know?”
This shows that one who knows is more perfect than one who does not know.
And He, Most High, says:
“The blind and the seeing are not equal,”
“nor are darkness and light,”
“nor shade and scorching heat.”
He thus makes clear that one who sees is more perfect, that light is more perfect, and that shade is more perfect. Accordingly, one endowed with such perfection is more worthy. “And to Allah belong the highest attributes.”
And He, Most High, says:
“After Moses had departed, his people made from their ornaments a calf—a body that lowed. Did they not see that it neither spoke to them nor guided them to any way? They took it for worship and were wrongdoers.”
