But Satan commands the opposite of what the Messenger commands. Allah Most High said:
“Did I not command you, O children of Adam, not to worship Satan? Indeed, he is a clear enemy to you.”
“And to worship Me? This is a straight path.”
“He has already led great multitudes of you astray. Did you not use your reason?”
Allah Most High also said:
“Indeed, you have no authority over My servants, except those who follow you among the misguided.”
And He said:
“When you recite the Quran, seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the accursed.”
“Indeed, he has no authority over those who believe and put their trust in their Lord.”
“His authority is only over those who take him as an ally and those who associate partners with Allah.”
And He said:
“Whoever turns away from the Reminder of the Most Merciful, We appoint for him a devil who becomes his companion.”
“The devils surely turn them away from the path, while they think they are rightly guided.”
The Reminder of the Most Merciful is the Reminder that Allah revealed to His Messenger, concerning which He said:
“Indeed, it is We who sent down the Reminder, and We will surely preserve it.”
Allah Most High also said:
“When guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray nor suffer misery.”
“But whoever turns away from My Reminder will have a life of hardship, and We will raise him blind on the Day of Resurrection.”
“He will say, ‘My Lord, why have You raised me blind when I used to see?’”
“He will say, ‘Thus it is: Our signs came to you, but you forgot them; and so today you will be forgotten.’”
Allah Most High also said:
“Alif Lām Mīm Sād.”
“This is a Book revealed to you—so let there be no distress in your heart because of it—that you may warn through it, and as a reminder to the believers.”
“Follow what has been revealed to you from your Lord, and do not follow other protectors besides Him. How little you take heed!”
Allah Most High also said:
“This is a Book We have revealed to you so that you may bring people out of darkness into light, by their Lord’s permission, to the path of the Almighty, the Praiseworthy.”
“Allah, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on earth. And woe to the disbelievers from a severe punishment!”
And Allah Most High said:
“And thus We have revealed to you a spirit by Our command. You did not know what the Book was, nor what faith was, but We made it a light by which We guide
