Is the testimony of a wet nurse accepted or not?

He replied:

If the witness is upright, the testimony is accepted in this matter. There is, however, disagreement over requiring the witness to swear an oath. It has been reported from Ibn ‘Abbās—may Allah be pleased with them both—that she must swear an oath; if she is lying, a year will not pass before both her breasts turn white.

Is the testimony of a co-wife accepted?

He replied:

A co-wife’s testimony is not accepted in matters that would invalidate her fellow wife’s marriage, whether on grounds of breastfeeding or otherwise. And Allah knows best.

Concerning testimony against a sinner or an innovator: may it be based on widespread reports and common knowledge, or must it be based on direct hearing and observation? If widespread reports suffice in this matter, who has held this view among
