He was also asked—may Allah Most High have mercy on him:

About a man who stimulated his penis with his hand until he ejaculated: what is required of him?

He replied:

Stimulating the penis with the hand until ejaculation is forbidden without exception according to most jurists. A group of leading scholars, however, hold that it is forbidden except in cases of necessity, such as fearing severe hardship, illness, or committing unlawful sexual intercourse. In such circumstances, masturbation is the better course.

He was also asked—may Allah Most High have mercy on him:

About a man whose young son was accused of theft and beaten with sticks, while his father lost four hundred dirhams. The stolen property was subsequently found, and its owner came and reached a settlement with the accused for two hundred dirhams. Is the son’s release of the other party from liability valid without his father’s consent if he is under guardianship? If it is not valid, what compensation is due for the beating? After the minor has granted this release, may his father still seek redress from the other party for beating his son, or not?
