He—may Allah have mercy on him—was asked:
“A man owns a mare with a filly following her. Is it permissible to drink her milk?”
He replied:
“It is permissible to drink her milk, provided it has not become intoxicating.”
He—may Allah sanctify his soul—was asked:
“For years, a man has habitually consumed some compound pastes every night before the afternoon prayer. When questioned about this, he said, ‘I find various benefits in them.’ Is this permissible for him?”
He replied:
“If it deprives him of reason, he may not consume it, for everything that deprives a person of reason is forbidden by the consensus of the Muslims.”
