He was asked about intercession for “those who commit major sins” among the community of Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and whether they will enter Paradise.

He replied:

The hadiths concerning intercession for “those who commit major sins” are firmly established and mass-transmitted from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. The righteous predecessors—the Companions and those who followed them in righteousness—and the leading scholars of the Muslims have agreed upon them. Only the adherents of religious innovation, such as the Khawārij, the Mu‘tazila, and others like them, have disputed this.

No one with an atom’s weight of faith in his heart will remain in Hell. Rather, they will all emerge from Hell and enter Paradise, and there will still be room left in Paradise. Allah will then create other beings for it and admit them to Paradise, as is established in an authentic hadith from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
