And others said: “They will converse in Syriac, because it was the language of Adam, from which the other languages branched out.”
Others said: “Except for the people of Paradise, who will speak Arabic.”
The proponents of all these views have no proof for them, whether rational or transmitted. Rather, these are claims devoid of evidence. Allah, Glorious and Exalted, knows best and is most wise.
وَقَالَ آخَرُونَ:
يَتَخَاطَبُونَ بِالسُّرْيانِيَّةِ لِأَنَّهَا لُغَةُ آدَمَ وَعَنْهَا تَفَرَّعَتْ اللُّغَاتُ.
وَقَالَ آخَرُونَ:
إلَّا أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ فَإِنَّهُمْ يَتَكَلَّمُونَ بِالْعَرَبِيَّةِ. وَكُلُّ هَذِهِ الْأَقْوَالِ لَا حُجَّةَ لِأَرْبَابِهَا لَا مِنْ طَرِيقِ عَقْلٍ وَلَا نَقْلٍ بَلْ هِيَ دَعَاوَى عَارِيَةٌ عَنْ الْأَدِلَّةِ وَاَللَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى أَعْلَمُ وَأَحْكَمُ.
