And He, the Most High, says:
“The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Almighty, the All-Wise.”
“Indeed, We have sent down the Book to you in truth, so worship Allah, devoting your religion sincerely to Him.”
“Surely, sincere devotion belongs to Allah alone. Those who take protectors besides Him say, ‘We worship them only so that they may bring us nearer to Allah.’ Indeed, Allah will judge between them concerning their differences. Allah does not guide anyone who is a liar and a persistent disbeliever.”
In their pilgrimage invocation, they would say: “Here I am at Your service. You have no partner except a partner who belongs to You: You own him and all that he owns.” He, the Most High, says:
“He sets forth an example for you from your own lives: Do any of your slaves share as partners in what We have provided you, so that you are equal in it and fear them as you fear one another? Thus do We explain the signs to people who reason.”
“Rather, the wrongdoers follow their desires without knowledge. Who, then, can guide those whom Allah has led astray? They will have no helpers.”
“So turn your face towards the religion, inclining to the truth—the natural disposition upon which Allah created humankind. There is no altering Allah’s creation. That is the upright religion, but most people do not know.”
“Turn to Him in repentance, fear Him, establish prayer, and do not be among the polytheists—”
“those who divided their religion and became sects, each faction rejoicing in what it possesses.”
Through the example He set forth for them, He, glorified be He, made clear that no one He owns should be made His partner. He said:
“Do any of your slaves share as partners in what We have provided you, so that you are equal in it?”
Would any of you fear his slave as you fear one another? If none of you is willing to have his slave as his partner, how, then, can you accept this for yourselves?
This is like their saying that He has daughters. He, the Most High, says:
“They attribute to Allah what they themselves dislike, while their tongues falsely claim that the best awaits them. Without doubt, the Fire awaits them, and they will be abandoned there.”
He, the Most High, also says:
“When one of them is given news of a daughter, his face darkens, and he is filled with suppressed grief.”
“He hides from his people because of the distressing news he has received. Should he keep her in humiliation or bury her in the dust?
