Shaykh al-Islām—may Allah sanctify his soul—also said:

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy.

All praise is due to Allah. We seek His help and forgiveness, and we seek refuge in Allah from the evil within ourselves and from our evil deeds. Whoever Allah guides, none can misguide; and whoever He leaves astray, none can guide. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah alone, without partner. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, whom He sent with guidance and the religion of truth to make it prevail over all religion. Allah suffices as a witness.

He sent him before the Hour as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner, as one who calls to Allah by His permission, and as an illuminating lamp. Through him, He guided people out of misguidance, gave them sight after blindness, and led them from error to right guidance. Through him, He opened blind eyes, deaf ears, and veiled hearts. He conveyed the message, fulfilled the trust, sincerely counselled the Muslim community, strove for Allah as he ought to strive, and worshipped his Lord until certainty came to him from his Lord. May Allah bless him and his family and grant him abundant peace.

There is therefore a distinction between truth and falsehood, guidance and misguidance, right guidance and error, the path of the people of Paradise and the path of the people of Hell, and between his allies and his enemies. What is lawful is what Allah and His Messenger have made lawful; what is forbidden is what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden; and religion is what Allah and His Messenger have prescribed.

Allah sent him to both jinn and humankind. Everyone must therefore believe in him and in what he brought, and follow him inwardly and outwardly. Believing in him and following him is the path of Allah and the religion of Allah,
