that is profound, and mighty support for Islam.

Ibn ‘Abbās said: “No people ever broke a covenant without their enemy being given the upper hand over them.”

Were it not for this and similar events, the Muslims would not have gained such resolve through the strength of faith, nor would the enemy have been so bereft of help. Through these, Allah grants victory to the believers and humiliates the disbelievers and hypocrites.

We ask Allah to perfect His favor upon the Sultan of Islam in particular and upon His believing servants in general.
