“And then We would surely have granted them a great reward from Us.”

“And We would surely have guided them to a straight path.”

Moreover, every benefit and good he brings to others is of the same nature as zakah.

Among the greatest acts of worship are relieving poverty, meeting people’s needs, supporting the oppressed, helping those in distress, and enjoining what is right—that is, enjoining the justice and goodness commanded by Allah and His Messenger. This includes instructing the land’s nawāʾib and those in authority to follow the rulings of the Book and the Sunnah and to refrain from what Allah has forbidden. It also includes forbidding what is wrong—that is, forbidding whatever Allah and His Messenger have prohibited.

If the Sultan—may Allah support him—issues directives to this effect throughout the lands of Islam, the resulting good for him and the Muslims in this world and the Hereafter will be known only to Allah. May Allah guide him to what He loves and is pleased with.

تَثْبِيتًا} {وَإِذًا لَآتَيْنَاهُمْ مِنْ لَدُنَّا أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا} {وَلَهَدَيْنَاهُمْ صِرَاطًا مُسْتَقِيمًا.} ثُمَّ كَلُّ نَفْعٍ وَخَيْرٍ يُوَصِّلُهُ إلَى الْخَلْقِ هُوَ مِنْ جِنْسِ الزَّكَاةِ. فَمِنْ أَعْظَمِ الْعِبَادَاتِ سَدُّ الفاقات وَقَضَاءُ الْحَاجَاتِ وَنَصْرُ الْمَظْلُومِ وَإِغَاثَةُ الْمَلْهُوفِ وَالْأَمْرُ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَهُوَ: الْأَمْرُ بِمَا أَمَرَ اللَّهُ بِهِ وَرَسُولُهُ مِنْ الْعَدْلِ وَالْإِحْسَانِ وَأَمْرُ نَوَائِبِ الْبِلَادِ وَوُلَاةِ الْأُمُورِ بِاتِّبَاعِ حُكْمِ الْكِتَابِ وَالسُّنَّةِ وَاجْتِنَابِهِمْ حُرُمَاتِ اللَّهِ وَالنَّهْيِ عَنْ الْمُنْكَرِ وَهُوَ: النَّهْيُ عَمَّا نَهَى اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَرَسُولُهُ. وَإِذَا تَقَدَّمَ السُّلْطَانُ - أَيَّدَهُ اللَّهُ - بِذَلِكَ فِي عَامَّةِ بِلَادِ الْإِسْلَامِ كَانَ فِيهِ مِنْ صَلَاحِ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ لَهُ وَلِلْمُسْلِمِينَ مَا لَا يَعْلَمُهُ إلَّا اللَّهُ. وَاَللَّهُ يُوَفِّقُهُ لِمَا يُحِبُّهُ وَيَرْضَاهُ.
