to seek blessings—such as Mount Sinai, Mount Hirā, the mountain of Yathrib, or the like—this is not prescribed for us. Indeed, he, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:
“No journey should be undertaken except to three mosques.”
Before his mission, he, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to perform Hajj, give charity, shoulder others’ burdens, honour guests, and help others face hardships in worthy causes. He did not follow the religion of his polytheistic people. May Allah bestow abundant blessings and peace upon him and his Companions.
لِلْبَرَكَةِ:
مِثْلَ جَبَلِ الطُّورِ وَجَبَلِ حِرَاءَ وَجَبَلِ يَثْرِبَ أَوْ نَحْوِ ذَلِكَ: فَهَذَا لَيْسَ بِمَشْرُوعِ لَنَا؛ بَلْ قَدْ قَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
{لَا تُشَدُّ الرِّحَالُ إلَّا إلَى ثَلَاثَةِ مَسَاجِدَ}
وَقَدْ كَانَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْلَ الْبَعْثَةِ يَحُجُّ وَيَتَصَدَّقُ وَيَحْمِلُ الْكُلَّ وَيَقْرِي الضَّيْفَ وَيُعِينُ عَلَى نَوَائِبَ الْحَقِّ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ عَلَى دِينِ قَوْمِهِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ؛ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَسْلِيمًا كَثِيرًا.
