It is thus clear that, had this been true, the earlier generations would have known better. Had they believed it, they would have acted according to their customary practice, made it known, and spoken about it as they spoke about comparable matters. Since nothing has been reported from the earlier generations—in either word or deed—indicating that the head was in these places, it is clear that this claim is false. And Allah knows best.

The seventh point:

Scholars in every age have consistently stated that the attribution of this Cairene shrine to al-Husayn is a lie and a falsehood, just as they have said of other falsely attributed shrines. Examples include the shrines in Damascus attributed to Ubayy ibn Kaʿb, Uways al-Qaranī, Hūd, Noah, or others; the shrine in Harrān attributed to Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh; those in al-Jazīra attributed to ʿAbd al-Rahmān ibn ʿAwf, ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar, and others like them; and those in Iraq attributed to ʿAlī, may Allah be pleased with him, and others. The same applies to shrines attributed to the prophets, apart from the graves of our Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and Abraham, the close friend of Allah, peace be upon him.

Since many shrines were falsely attributed fabrications, scholars in every age recognized these claims as lies and inventions. The well-known books and writings of scholars knowledgeable about this subject are full of such examples. Anyone who seeks them out and examines them will discover this.
