The Quran abounds in affirmations of Allah’s oneness and that nothing is like Him. No created thing may be likened to Him in any respect, for nothing is like Him—in His essence, His attributes, His actions, or the worship, love, reliance, obedience, supplication and all other rights that are His due.
Allah Most High says:
“Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, so worship Him and persevere in His worship. Do you know of anyone comparable to Him?”
No one is His peer. No one deserves to bear the names that belong exclusively to Him, nor does anyone equal Him in what any of His names signifies—whether the Ever-Living, the All-Knowing, the All-Powerful, or any other name. Nor does anyone equal Him in what is signified by such general names as ‘being’ and ‘existent’. Nor can anyone else be God, Lord or Creator.
Allah Most High says:
“Say, ‘He is Allah, the One;
Allah, the Eternal Refuge.
He neither begets nor is born,
and there is none comparable to Him.’”
Thus, no one is comparable to Him in any respect: nothing equals Him, nothing resembles Him, and nothing is His counterpart.
Allah Most High says:
“All praise is for Allah, who created the heavens and the earth and made darkness and light. Yet those who disbelieve set up equals to their Lord.”
And Allah Most High says:
“So they will be flung headlong into it, they and the misguided,
and the hosts of Iblīs, all together.
They will say, as they dispute there,
‘By Allah, we were clearly astray
when we made you equal to the Lord of all worlds.’”
And Allah Most High says:
“They worship besides Allah those who have no power to provide them with any sustenance from the heavens or the earth, nor are they capable of doing so.
So do not draw comparisons with Allah. Indeed, Allah knows and you do not know.”
