to him from the books of the scholars whose statements he cited. Anyone who attacks him with denunciations is either ignorant, not knowing what he is saying, or feigning ignorance, driven by envy and the zealotry of the age of ignorance to reject what scholars accept. May Allah Most High protect us from the perils of envy and shield us from the portents of misery through Muhammad and his good and pure family. Praise be to Allah, Lord of all worlds.

After praising Allah, with whose praise every discourse begins, and invoking blessings and peace upon His Messenger Muhammad, the best of creation, and upon his family and his righteous, noble Companions, beacons of guidance and lamps in the darkness, the poorest of Allah’s servants and the most in need of His pardon says:

What the accomplished and noble shaykh and imam—the pride of mankind, the adornment of Islam, the pillar of the Sacred Law, the champion of the Sunnah, the suppressor of innovation, the possessor of manifold virtues, and the exemplar of eminent scholars—has cited in this answer from the statements of the scholars and noble imams—may Allah have mercy upon them
