Shaykh al-Islām Abū al-ʿAbbās Ahmad ibn Shihāb al-Dīn ʿAbd al-Halīm ibn Imām Majd al-Dīn ʿAbd al-Salām ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Taymiyya—may Allah be pleased with him—also said:
All praise belongs to Allah. We praise Him, seek His help and guidance, and ask His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil within ourselves and from our evil deeds. Whomever Allah guides, none can lead astray, and whomever He leads astray, none can guide. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. May Allah bestow blessings and abundant peace upon him, his family, and his Companions.
To proceed:
Many Muslims have repeatedly asked me to write an explanation of the rites of Hajj covering what most pilgrims need on most occasions. Earlier in my life, I wrote a manual of pilgrimage rites in which I included many supplications and followed the legal rulings of the scholars who preceded me. In this work, I have set out briefly and clearly what has become evident to me of the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. There is no power nor strength except through Allah.
