Wheat, barley and sult (hull-less barley) are combined for zakat purposes, and al-qatāfī are combined with one another. The crops of a single year are combined, even if some are summer crops and others winter crops. The same applies to fruit, even when grown in different regions, provided it belongs to one owner. As for joint owners, each owner’s share must reach the zakat threshold.

A wasq equals sixty sāʿs, and a sāʿ equals four mudds measured by the mudd of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace (a mudd equals five and one-third Baghdadi ratls, and a Baghdadi ratl equals twenty-eight dirhams) (*).
The dirhams meant here are those dating from the time of ʿAbd al-Malik: every ten weigh seven mithqāls. Thus, the zakat threshold amounts to one thousand six hundred Baghdadi ratls. In Damascene measure, it amounts to three hundred and forty-two ratls and six-sevenths of a ratl.
