Majmu' al-FatawaIbn Taimiya

He replied:

Yes, they may prevent him from living among healthy people, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

“An owner of sick camels must not bring them to an owner of healthy camels.”

Thus, he forbade the owner of sick camels from bringing them to the owner of healthy camels, despite also saying:

“There is no contagion and no evil omen.”

It is likewise reported that when a man with leprosy came to pledge allegiance to him, he sent word accepting his pledge and did not permit him to enter Medina.

He—may Allah have mercy on him—was asked:

Does anyone receive a reward for offering the funeral prayer for someone who did not pray? Is a person sinful for refraining from offering it when he knows that the deceased did not pray? Likewise, if someone drank wine and did not pray, may a person who knew his condition offer the funeral prayer for him or not?

He replied:

Anyone who outwardly professes Islam is subject to the outward legal rulings of Islam concerning marriage, mutual inheritance, washing his body, offering the funeral prayer for him, burying him in Muslim cemeteries, and similar matters. However, if someone’s hypocrisy and heresy are known, anyone who knows this about him may not offer the funeral prayer for him, even if he outwardly professes Islam. Allah forbade His Prophet from offering the funeral prayer for the hypocrites, saying:

“Never offer the funeral prayer for any of them who dies, nor stand at his grave. They disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger
