ritual purity. There is consensus that a person does not become a disbeliever by doing something whose permissibility scholars dispute. The majority of scholars hold that an apostate’s marriage is not dissolved unless his wife’s waiting period ends without his having returned to Islam. And Allah knows best.
He was asked:
Should the supplication for istikhāra (seeking Allah’s guidance) be recited during the prayer or after the closing salutation?
He answered:
It is permissible to supplicate before or after the closing salutation, whether in the istikhāra prayer or other prayers. Supplicating before the closing salutation is better, for most of the Prophet’s supplications (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) were made before the closing salutation. Moreover, before the closing salutation, the worshipper has not yet concluded the prayer, so this is better. And Allah Most High knows best.
