He also said:
“How many angels there are in the heavens whose intercession avails nothing!”
He also said, in this verse and the one that follows:
“Say, ‘Call upon those you claim to be gods besides Him. They have no power to remove harm from you or to change it.’”
He said concerning their taking them as a means of drawing near to Allah:
“We worship them only so that they may bring us nearer to Allah.”
He also said:
“Why, then, did those they had taken as gods besides Allah, as a means of drawing near to Him, not help them? Rather, they vanished from them. That was their falsehood and what they used to fabricate.”
وَقَالَ:
{وَكَمْ مِنْ مَلَكٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ لَا تُغْنِي شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْئًا}
وَقَالَ:
{قُلِ ادْعُوا الَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِهِ فَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ كَشْفَ الضُّرِّ عَنْكُمْ وَلَا تَحْوِيلًا}
الْآيَتَيْنِ.
وَقَالَ فِي اتِّخَاذِهِمْ قُرْبَانًا:
{مَا نَعْبُدُهُمْ إلَّا لِيُقَرِّبُونَا إلَى اللَّهِ زُلْفَى}
.
وَقَالَ:
{فَلَوْلَا نَصَرَهُمُ الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ قُرْبَانًا آلِهَةً بَلْ ضَلُّوا عَنْهُمْ وَذَلِكَ إفْكُهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ}
