In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

Chapter on Prostration for Forgetfulness

The Shaykh—may Allah have mercy on him—said:

All praise is due to Allah. We seek His help and forgiveness, and we seek refuge in Allah from the evil within ourselves and from our evil deeds. Whoever Allah guides, none can lead astray, and whoever He leads astray, none can guide. I bear witness that none is worthy of worship except Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. May Allah bless him and his family and grant him abundant peace.

Section on Prostration for Forgetfulness

Several important matters arise here, including questions concerning doubt, whether these prostrations should be performed before or after the concluding salutation, and whether they are obligatory. We therefore say—and there is neither might nor power except through Allah:
