O Allah, none can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, nor can wealth avail its possessor against You.”
It is reported in an authentic hadith that after the obligatory prayer he would proclaim Allah’s oneness with these words:
“There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs sovereignty, and to Him belongs all praise, and He has power over all things. There is no might or power except through Allah. There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and we worship none but Him. To Him belong all blessings and bounty, and to Him belongs all excellent praise. There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah; we devote our worship sincerely to Him, even though the disbelievers dislike it.”
It is reported in an authentic hadith that “raising the voice in proclaiming Allah’s greatness after people had finished the obligatory prayer was practised during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.” They would know by this that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, had finished his prayer.
It is reported in an authentic hadith that he said:
“Whoever glorifies Allah thirty-three times after every prayer, praises Him thirty-three times, and proclaims His greatness thirty-three times—making ninety-nine—and completes the hundred by saying, ‘There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs sovereignty, and to Him belongs all praise, and He has power over all things,’ will have his sins forgiven, even if they are like the foam of the sea.”
It is also reported in an authentic hadith that he would say: “Glory be to Allah, all praise is due to Allah, and Allah is greatest—thirty-three times.”
