He was asked:

“Regarding a man who leads people in prayer and recites according to the reading of Shaykh Abū ‘Amr: if he recites according to Warsh or Nāfi‘, with the differences among the transmitted versions, while his usual recitation follows Abū ‘Amr, does he incur any sin, or is his prayer deficient or rejected?”

He answered:

It is permissible to recite part of the Quran according to the reading of Abū ‘Amr and part according to the reading of Nāfi‘, whether within a single unit of prayer or across two units, and whether during prayer or outside it. And Allah knows best.

He was asked:

“Has it been narrated that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, recited Sūrat al-A‘rāf or Sūrat al-An‘ām in its entirety during the Maghrib prayer or another prayer? If Ahmad narrated this, is it authentic or not?”

He answered:

Praise be to Allah. Yes, it is established in the authentic hadith collections that he recited Sūrat al-A‘rāf during the Maghrib prayer, but he did not do so regularly. On another occasion, he recited Sūrat al-Mursalāt during it, and on yet another occasion, Sūrat al-Tūr. All of this is recorded in the authentic hadith collections. And Allah knows best.
