Those are the ones in whose hearts He has inscribed faith and whom He has strengthened with a spirit from Him.”

He Most High also said:

“The believers are but brothers, so make peace between your brothers.”

In the two Sahīh collections, the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, is reported to have said:

“The believers, in their mutual love, mercy, and compassion, are like a body: when one limb suffers, the rest of the body responds with fever and sleeplessness.”

In the two Sahīh collections, he, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, is also reported to have said:

“One believer is to another like a building, each part strengthening the other”—and he interlaced his fingers.

In the two Sahīh collections, he, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, is also reported to have said:

“A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim: he neither abandons him nor wrongs him.”

The two Sahīh collections also report that he said:

“By Him in whose hand is my soul, none of you believes until he loves for his brother the good that he loves for himself.”

He also said:

“By Him in whose hand is my soul, you will not enter Paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love one another. Shall I not tell you something which, if you do it, will make you love one another? Spread the greeting of peace among yourselves.”

Allah Most High has commanded the believers to remain united and in harmony, and has forbidden them to divide and differ. He Most High said:

“O you who believe, fear Allah as He should be feared, and do not die except as Muslims.”

“And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together, and do not become divided,”

continuing to His words:

“so that you may be guided,”

and then to His words:

“On the Day when some faces will turn white and others black.”

Ibn ‘Abbās, may Allah be pleased with him and his father, said: “The faces of the people of the Sunnah and the united community will turn white, and the faces of the people of innovation and division will turn black.”
