He was asked:
“If a man kisses or embraces his wife and emits pre-ejaculatory fluid, must he perform ablution?”
He replied:
“His ablution is invalidated by that. He need only perform ablution, but must also wash his penis and testicles.”
He was asked:
“Does touching women invalidate ablution?”
He replied:
Praise be to Allah. The jurists hold three views on whether touching women invalidates ablution: two extremes and a middle position. The weakest is that touching invalidates ablution even without desire, provided that the person touched is someone who might arouse desire. This is al-Shāfiʿī’s view, based on the words of Allah Most High:
“Or you have touched women” (aw lāmastum al-nisā’).
In the other reading: aw lamastum (“or you have touched”).
{أَوْ لَامَسْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ}
