Majmu' al-FatawaIbn Taimiya

He replied:

A mere sensation does not invalidate ablution, nor may he leave an obligatory prayer merely because of doubt. It is established that the Prophet “was asked about a man who feels something during prayer, and he said: ‘He should not leave until he hears a sound or detects an odor.’”

However, if he is certain that urine has emerged from his penis, his ablution is invalidated, and he must cleanse himself, unless he suffers from urinary incontinence. In that case, this alone does not invalidate his prayer, provided he has done what he was instructed to do. Allah knows best.

He—may Allah have mercy on him—was also asked:

A man experiences frequent flatulence whenever he begins praying, to the point that he performs ablution four times or more in the course of the prayer. Once he finishes the prayer, the condition subsides and does not return until prayer time. He does not know what causes it. Is it due to his intense concern for ritual purity? Repeated ablution can be difficult for him, and he does not know whether the ruling for those with legally recognized excuses applies to him, since this condition recurs only at prayer time. Moreover, he does not feel at ease praying with just one ablution.
