Chapter: Things That Invalidate Ablution

He—may Allah have mercy on him—was asked:

A man has a continuous discharge of pus from his penis. Is his prayer valid while this discharge continues? Please give us a ruling, and may you be rewarded.

He replied:

He must not abandon prayer; rather, he should pray as best he can. If the discharge of impurity does not stop long enough for him to perform ablution and pray, he should perform ablution and then pray as his condition permits, even if the impurity is discharged during prayer. However, he should use a protective covering to prevent the impurity from spreading. Allah knows best.

He—may Allah have mercy on him—was also asked:

If someone performs ablution, stands to pray, and feels a drop during his prayer, is his prayer invalidated or not?

بَابٌ نَوَاقِضُ الْوُضُوءِ سُئِلَ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ: عَنْ رَجُلٍ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ ذَكَرِهِ قَيْحٌ لَا يَنْقَطِعُ: فَهَلْ تَصِحُّ صَلَاتُهُ مَعَ خُرُوجِ ذَلِكَ؟ أَفْتُونَا مَأْجُورِينَ. فَأَجَابَ: لَا يَجُوزُ أَنْ يُبْطِلَ الصَّلَاةَ بَلْ يُصَلِّي بِحَسَبِ إمْكَانِهِ. فَإِنْ لَمْ تَنْقَطِعْ النَّجَاسَةُ قَدْرَ مَا يَتَوَضَّأُ وَيُصَلِّي: صَلَّى بِحَسَبِ حَالِهِ بَعْدَ أَنْ يَتَوَضَّأَ وَإِنْ خَرَجَتْ النَّجَاسَةُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ لَكِنْ يَتَّخِذُ حِفَاظًا يَمْنَعُ مِنْ انْتِشَارِ النَّجَاسَةِ. وَاَللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ. وَسُئِلَ - رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ -: عَمَّا إذَا تَوَضَّأَ وَقَامَ يُصَلِّي وَأَحَسَّ بِالنُّقْطَةِ فِي صَلَاتِهِ: فَهَلْ تَبْطُلُ صَلَاتُهُ أَمْ لَا؟ .
