that is clear. Rather, the question concerned cheese made by the Magians. This shows that Salmān used to rule that it was lawful. If this has been narrated from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, then the dispute is settled by the words of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

Moreover, neither the milk nor the rennet itself died. Those who deemed them impure did so only because they were contained in an impure vessel, making them liquid in an impure vessel. The ruling that they are impure thus rests on two premises: that the liquid came into contact with an impure vessel, and that such contact renders it impure.

The first response is: We do not concede that a liquid becomes impure through contact with impurity. It has already been shown that the Sunnah indicates its purity, not its impurity.

The second response is: Contact within the body has no legal effect, as Allah Most High says:

“We give you to drink, from what is in their bellies, pure milk from between digested matter and blood, palatable to those who drink it.”

This is why it is permissible to carry a small child during prayer despite what is in the child’s belly. And Allah knows best.
