who will be successful.”
“And those whose scales are light—it is they who have lost themselves, remaining in Hell forever.”
The records—which are the written accounts of deeds—will be laid open. Some will receive their record in their right hand, and others in their left hand or from behind their back, as He, glorified and exalted, says:
“We have bound every person’s deeds to his neck, and on the Day of Resurrection We will bring forth for him a record which he will find spread open.”
“Read your record. Today you yourself are sufficient to take account of yourself.”
Allah will bring His creatures to account and speak privately with His believing servant, making him acknowledge his sins, as described in the Book and the Sunnah. As for the disbelievers, they will not be brought to account in the manner of those whose good and evil deeds are weighed, for they have no good deeds. Rather, their deeds will be counted and enumerated; they will be confronted with them, made to acknowledge them, and recompensed for them.
On the plain of the Resurrection will be the Pool of Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, to which people will come. Its water is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. Its vessels are as numerous as the stars in the sky; its length is a month’s journey, and its width is a month’s journey. Whoever takes a drink from it will never thirst again.
The Sirāt will be laid across Hell—it is the bridge between Paradise and Hell. People will cross it according to their deeds: some will pass in the blink of an eye, some like a flash of lightning, some like the wind, and some like a swift steed
