And his saying:

“Our Lord marvels at His servants’ despair when He is so close to changing their plight. He looks upon you in hardship and despair, and continues to laugh, knowing that your relief is near.”

A good hadith.

And his saying:

“People will continue to be cast into Hell while it says, ‘Are there any more?’ until the Lord of Might places His leg in it—in another narration, His foot upon it—whereupon it contracts upon itself and says, ‘Enough! Enough!’”

Reported by al-Bukhārī and Muslim.

And his saying, may Allah bless him and grant him peace:

“Allah Most High says, ‘O Adam!’ He replies, ‘At Your service, ever ready to obey.’ Then He calls out in a voice, ‘Allah commands you to send forth from your descendants a contingent to the Fire.’”

Reported by al-Bukhārī and Muslim.

And his saying:

“There is not one of you but that his Lord will speak to him, with no interpreter between them.”

And his saying, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, concerning a healing supplication for the sick:

“‘Our Lord, Allah, who is in heaven, holy is Your name. Your command is in heaven and on earth. Just as Your mercy is in heaven, place Your mercy on earth. Forgive us our sins and misdeeds. You are the Lord of the righteous. Send down mercy from Your mercy and healing from Your healing upon this affliction.’ Then he will recover.”

A good hadith. Reported by Abū Dāwūd and others.

And his saying:

“Will you not trust me, when I am the trusted one of Him who is in heaven?”

An authentic hadith.

And his saying:

“The Throne is above the water, and Allah is above the Throne, and He knows your condition.”

A good hadith. Reported by Abū Dāwūd and others.

And his saying, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, to the slave woman:

“Where is Allah?”

She replied, “In heaven.”

He asked, “Who am I?”

She replied, “You are the Messenger of Allah.”

He said, “Set her free, for she is a believer.”
