Section: Reward and Punishment
Reward and punishment correspond to the very nature of the deed, both in Allah’s universal decree and in His revealed law. This is part of the justice upon which the heavens and the earth are upheld. Allah, Exalted is He, says:
“If you display a good deed openly or conceal it, or pardon an offense, Allah is ever Pardoning, All-Powerful.” (al-Nisāʾ 4:149)
He also says, “So let them pardon and overlook—do you not love that Allah should forgive you?” (al-Nūr 24:22).
The Prophet ﷺ said, “Whoever shows no mercy will be shown no mercy.” 1
He said, “Allah is One and loves what is odd.” 2
And he said, “Allah is beautiful and loves beauty.” 3

فصل: [الثواب والعقاب]
الثواب والعقاب يكونان من جنس العمل في قدر الله وفي شرعه، فإن هذا من العدل الذي تقوم به السماء والأرض، كما قال الله تعالى:
﴿إِنْ تُبْدُوا خَيْرًا أَوْ تُخْفُوهُ أَوْ تَعْفُوا عَنْ سُوءٍ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَفُوًّا قَدِيرًا﴾ [النساء: ١٤٩] . وقال: ﴿وَلْيَعْفُوا وَلْيَصْفَحُوا أَلَا تُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ﴾ [النور: ٢٢] .
وقال النبي ﷺ:
"من لا يرحم لا يرحم" ١.
وقال: "إن الله وتر يحب الوتر" ٢.
وقال: "إن الله جميل يحب الجمال" ٣.
