—when the day arrived on which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Madinah, every corner of the city was bathed in light; but when the day came on which he passed away, every part of it was plunged into darkness. We had not yet finished brushing the dust from our hands after laying him to rest before we felt our hearts had changed.
