ʿĀʾishah also narrated:
“I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the throes of death. A cup of water was beside him; he would dip his hand into the cup and wipe his face with the water, saying: ‘Allāhumma aʿinnī ʿalā munkarāti al-mawt’—or she said, ‘sakārāti al-mawt’—that is, ‘O Allah, help me against the agonies of death.’”
