Anas ibn Mālik narrated:
“The last glimpse I ever had of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was on Monday, when he drew the curtain aside. I looked at his face, and it was as radiant as a page of the Qur’an. The people were standing behind Abū Bakr, and they were on the verge of becoming unsettled, but he signalled to them to remain firm while Abū Bakr was leading them in prayer. He then let the curtain drop, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away later that same day.”
