280 – ʿĀʾishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Messenger of Allah kissed ʿUthmān ibn Maʿzūn after he had died, while he was weeping—or, she said, his eyes were pouring forth tears. (Sound)

281 – Anas ibn Mālik said: “We attended the funeral of a daughter of the Messenger of Allah, and the Messenger of Allah was sitting beside the grave. I saw his eyes brimming with tears. He then asked, ‘Is there anyone among you who has not been intimate with his wife tonight?’ Abū Ṭalḥah replied, ‘I have not.’ He said, ‘Descend.’ So he went down into her grave.”
