Anas b. Mālik related that he heard him say: “The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was neither conspicuously tall nor short, neither of an unnaturally pale complexion nor dark-skinned, and his hair was neither tightly curled nor completely straight. Allah, exalted is He, sent him as a prophet at the age of forty, and he remained in Mecca for ten years,” ⦗13⦘
