255 – (Sound)
Umm Salamah reported:
“I never saw the Prophet ﷺ fast two consecutive months except Shaʿbān and Ramadan.”

Abu ʿĪsā said:
“This chain of narration is sound, and it is transmitted as follows: from Abū Salamah, from Umm Salamah. More than one narrator has also conveyed this hadith from Abū Salamah on the authority of ʿĀʾishah, may Allah be pleased with her, from the Prophet ﷺ. It is therefore possible that Abū Salamah ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān reported the hadith from both ʿĀʾishah and Umm Salamah together, tracing it back to the Prophet ﷺ.”
