Mukhtaṣar al-ShamāʾilAl-Tirmidhi

199 – (Weak)
ʿĀmir ibn Saʿd related that Saʿd said:

“I once saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the Day of the Trench laugh so broadly that his molars became visible.” I asked, “What occasioned his laughter?” He replied, “A man was standing with a shield, while Saʿd was an expert archer. The man kept moving the shield ‘like this and like that,’ using it to cover his forehead. Saʿd fitted an arrow for him, and when the fellow raised his head Saʿd let it fly; he did not miss—striking him right here (meaning, his forehead). The man toppled over, his legs flailing in the air, and the Prophet ﷺ laughed until his molars showed.” I asked, “What exactly made him laugh?” He answered, “The way Saʿd dealt with that man.”
