Jarir ibn Abd Allah—may Allah be pleased with him—said:

“From the day I embraced Islam, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ never kept me from his presence, and whenever he saw me he would laugh.” In another version: “...he would only smile.” ⦗231⦘
