ʿUmar ibn Abī Salamah reported:
“I entered upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while food was set before him, and he said, ‘Come closer, my boy; pronounce the name of Allah Most High, eat with your right hand, and eat from what is directly in front of you.’”
