Salman said, “I read in the Torah that the blessing of food is attained by performing ablution after it. I related this to the Prophet ﷺ and told him what I had read in the Torah, whereupon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, ‘The blessing of food is in performing ablution before it and performing ablution after it.’”
