Jabir reported:
“The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, went out while I was with him. He entered the house of a woman from the Anṣār, and she slaughtered a sheep for him, from which he ate. She then brought him a tray of fresh dates, and he ate from them as well. After that he performed wuḍūʾ (ritual ablution) for the ẓuhr (noon) prayer and offered it. When he had finished and was about to leave, she presented him with an additional portion of meat from the same sheep, which he ate; then he prayed the ʿaṣr (afternoon) prayer without renewing his wuḍūʾ.” ⦗101⦘
