Abu Hazim narrated from Sahl ibn Saʿd that he was asked, “Did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, ever eat al-naqī—that is, al-huwwarā (refined white bread)?” Sahl replied:

(أَكَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ َ النَّقِيَّ يَعْنِي الْحُوَّارَى؟) فَقَالَ سَهْلٌ:
